“Rifugio per mille persone” nasce nel silenzio.
Non come un progetto, ma come uno spazio.

A partire dal novembre 2024, Alessandro Sgarito e Roberto Mares iniziano a costruire un luogo invisibile fatto di suono, attesa e ascolto. Un processo lento, quasi sotterraneo, in cui ogni elemento trova il proprio tempo per emergere, depositarsi, trasformarsi.

Le nove tracce che compongono l’album si aprono come stanze.
Ambienti attraversati da respiri minimi, stratificazioni leggere, tensioni trattenute.
Tra ambient, post-rock, elettroacustica e new classical, il suono si muove in equilibrio, lasciando spazio al silenzio come parte viva della composizione.

Dentro questo spazio entrano anche altre presenze: Helga Raimondi, Laura Bisceglia, Fabio Capanni e Fabio Puletti.
Non come interventi, ma come tracce umane nel paesaggio sonoro — gesti discreti che ampliano la profondità, che spostano l’aria.

Il titolo affonda le radici in un luogo reale: un rifugio antiaereo della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, nascosto nel giardino di Roberto Mares, a Belluno.
Un luogo pensato per accogliere fino a mille persone, costruito per proteggere, per resistere, per aspettare.

Oggi quel rifugio diventa altro.
Diventa immagine, memoria, forma.
Diventa musica.

“Rifugio per mille persone” non chiede attenzione immediata.
Non alza la voce.
Rimane.

È un invito a entrare, a sostare, a condividere uno spazio che esiste solo nel tempo dell’ascolto.
Una musica che non si impone, ma accoglie.
Che non spiega, ma custodisce.

Come ogni rifugio, vive di presenza.
E di ciò che ognuno porta con sé, quando decide di fermarsi.

Starting in November 2024, Alessandro Sgarito and Roberto Mares begin to build an invisible place made of sound, waiting, and listening. A slow, almost subterranean process in which every element finds its own time to emerge, settle, and transform.

The nine tracks that shape the album unfold like rooms.
Spaces crossed by minimal breaths, subtle layers, restrained tensions.
Moving between ambient, post-rock, electroacoustic and new classical music, the sound balances itself, allowing silence to exist as a living part of the composition.

Other presences enter this space: Helga Raimondi, Laura Bisceglia, Fabio Capanni and Fabio Puletti.
Not as features, but as human traces within the sonic landscape — quiet gestures that expand depth, that shift the air.

The title is rooted in a real place: an air-raid shelter from the Second World War, hidden in Roberto Mares’ garden in Belluno.
A structure designed to hold up to a thousand people, built to protect, to endure, to wait.

Today, that shelter becomes something else.
It becomes image, memory, form.
It becomes music.

“Rifugio per mille persone” does not seek urgency.
It does not raise its voice.
It remains.

It is an invitation to enter, to stay, to share a space that exists only within the time of listening.
Music that does not impose itself, but welcomes.
That does not explain, but holds.

Like any shelter, it lives through presence.
And through what each person carries with them when they choose to stop.
